TORONTO STAR: 19 Sept. Winnipeg Lawyer Marilou McPhedran comments on GP S..N. MAHARAJH
Winnipeg Lawyer Marilou McPhedran was Chair in 1991 & 2001 of Ontario Task Force on Sexual Abuse (of patients) by health-care professionals. She said that the CPSO had the legal basis to have revoked Dr.Maharajh's medical licence. The legal loophole used by the Defence was the omission of the nipple in the Regulated Health Professions Act.

CPSO Senior lawyer CAROLYN SILVER pointed out that licence "mandatory revocation" for "sexual abuse" resulted from 1991 (Provincial) Legislation. Sexual abuse defined as," intercourse,various forms of contact with the genitals, the anus and the mouth, and (office) masturbation."
GP.Sastri Narendra MAHARAJH, 53y, a Univ. Toronto grad., from Mississauga ( a West Toronto suburb) regained his licence to see MALES ONLY after an eight month suspension following an admission that he "either placed his mouth or placed his cheek on the breasts of up to 13 female patients.".
