OHIP requires rectal exam as part of General assessment

OHIP demands rectal examination of children and adults to bill for a General assessment. This could be perceived as a sexual assault by parents & patients. OMA Board does not object to this absurd requirement.

Recent case of 69y. MD charged with sexual assault of a minor.

CPSO TRIBUNALS: Finding a Lawyer

CMPA & OMA do NOT FUND APPEALS against verdicts of the CPSO TRIBUNAL; (not a "Court"- important distinction).Imperative to a MD's career to select the right Legal firm.

OMA Review does not publish details of CPSO Tribunals. CPSO "Dialogue" does not publish names of
 Lawyers.

GOWLINGS  is retained by the CMPA in Ottawa for Legal advice.
Offices (ONTARIO) Toronto Ottawa,Hamilton Kitchener.

HEENAN BLAIKIE  is retained by the Ontario Medical Association
Partner Brian BURKETT is in charge of negotiations with Ont.Ministry Health.
ONTARIO:Toronto,Ottawa.

McCARTHY, TETRAULT :often selected by OMA members.
(ONTARIO) Toronto

Comments are invited about Lawyers who successfully represented OMA members before the CPSO
TRIBUNAL.

(PS. In a Tribunal one does NOT have to swear an oath or stand when Tribunal members enter/leave the room.. It is not necessary for the MD to give evidence.and so permit cross-examination by the CPSO team of female lawyers who use "dirty tricks".to attack the MDs' credibility.with questions; paragraph long, and impossible to answer simply.  The CPSO also uses psychological methods against Doctors by having a "Prisoners' Dock" in the middle of the room and a TV screen facing the accused.)
