Daily Mail: UK NHS pays GP approx $Can 240 a year per registered patient ( tied to one GP).
Patient can change GP but can not wander from GP to GP as in Ontario. NHS pays whether patient attends or not. To avoid paying for dead patients, NHS now sends letters to those who have not visited their GP for 5 years. GP has a maximum number of registered patients approx 2200.. After reaching that number can accept private paying patients who have to pay for investigations as well.

When patient changes GP notes in medium envelope sent to new GP. Notes are brief;only important findings. Unlike CPSO required notes similar to mecical student charting. On UK GP does not keep records of patients who have left practice.
