SOME OF BILL 148 WHICH WILL AFFECT EMPLOYER DOCTORS;

NEW 3 WEEKS PAID VACATION AFTER 5 YEARS SERVICE.

NOW AFTER 3 MONTHS EMPLOYEE CAN REQUEST CHANGE OF LOCATION WITHOUT REASON.

MINIMUM WAGE $14 FROM JAN 2018; $15 FROM JAN 2018

10 DAYS YEARLY UNPAID LEAVE FOR PERSONAL  REASONS,

INCREASED UNPAID MATERNITY LEAVE TO 63 WEEKS.

NEW UNPAID 15 WEEKS LEAVE YEARLY IF EMPLOYEE AFFECTED BY SEXUAL VIOLENCE

NEW UNPAID TWO YEARS LEAVE AFTER DEATH OF CHILD.(ie under 18)

MORE UNION POWER IN UNIONISING EMPLOYEES.

    MORE WORK FOR EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES TO SCREEN APPLICANTS. OLDER AND MORE EXPERIENCED WILL BE PREFERRED.

  2. Rent commercial all-included offices eg REGUS. Surprisingly CPSO does not object to MDs receiving free or highly subsidized offices & staff from Pharmacies. Legal staff contracts for say 3 years. Always have legal advice before any business decision; cheaper in long run.
